UNCG: Summer Session ’22

Role: Designer

Client: UNC Greensboro (UNCG) is a public research university located in North Carolina. In 2022, UNCG offered nearly 900 courses during Summer Session. Summer classes can help students explore potential majors, stay on pace for graduation, lighten a difficult Fall course load, catch up on credits, or even graduate early.

Objective: Design an eye-catching marketing campaign to advertise UNCG’s Summer Session. The campaign should stand out from other UNCG signage and emphasize the many reasons that a student might decide to take summer courses. Creative assets included building monitors, cafeteria napkin holder ads, yard signs, posters, postcards, display ads, Snapchat ads, and social ads.

Challenges: As many of the creative assets were to be displayed on campus, it was necessary that they didn’t blend in with the many other UNCG ads and signage. To solve this, I decided to reverse the typical brand color scheme, using gold as the primary color and blue as the secondary color.
